The Department of Information Technology (known as DOE and MIT previously), Ministry of  Communications and IT, Govt. of  India  formulated  a  comprehensive policy on software training   to  generate  quality  manpower  by  harnessing  the  competence  and expertise in the Computer Training Institutes and widening    the educational opportunities  in the area of computers and bioinformatics and effectively making use of the job opportunities  at national as well as international level.
