Training of Teachers in e-Learning

e-Learning refers to the systematic use of Networked Information and Communications Technology in teaching and learning. It makes use of various technologies to enhance the learning process and educational values. Furthermore it reaches a larger and more diverse learner  population with minimal expenditure. The e-Learning environment offers more flexibility, as the electronic access provides a variety of multimedia based material at the doorstep of the learner, at a time and place suitable and convenient to the learner.

E-learning promises to deliver just-in-time learning. Learners gain access to a data repository, answers the questions, and the system delivers the precise piece of information when and how they need it.

DOEACC CENTRE CALICUT, ( A unit of DOEACC Society, an autonomous body of Department of Information Technology, Govt. of India) is organizing training programmes in eLearning for teachers

 Objectives  
 
  • To propagate the knowledge on e-Learning and its applications among teachers.
  • To train teachers for implementing e-Learning in schools/colleges/institutes/organizations of their respective areas for better educational methodologies.
  • To develop skills in teachers to locate & reuse the course content in e-Learning
  • To introduce tools and technology employed for content creation in e-Learning for implementing e-learning education.
 Course Structure  

 

The total duration of the course is 200hrs.  To suit the convenience of the teachers some sessions may be conducted in  eLearning mode also, where the participants can attend the course from their workplace itself.

 Eligibility  

 

 Young and dynamic teachers, willing to learn, preferably  below 50 years of age. Minimum two years experience in teaching with knowledge of computers and availability of minimum computer infrastructure with Internet connection at their workplace.
