The Library and Information Centre holds the following Books : The total book collection consists of around 5,000 authenticated books in the field of Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer and Communication Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Management, Mathematics, Physics etc. All the books are classified according to the DDC Scheme of Library Classification. Journals: Subscribes around 30 journals both Indian and Foreign. Back issues of the journals are bound and kept as a separate section of Bound volumes. All the articles of the journals subscribing in the Library and Information Centre have been indexed and can be retrieved through an interactive Software. Standards : The Librarys Standard Collection consists of standards published by Bureau of Indian Standards and IEEE. Reprints : There are around 80-90 reprints of authentic papers published in various technical journals. Data manuals : Data sheets of various companies like Motorola, Intel, National Semiconductors are available and arranged separately. It comes around 200 volumes of Data manuals and are of very much in use. Project Reports/Thesis; A separate section has been maintained for arranging the reports of different projects done by the students and the staff. Presently the Library and the Information Centre has around 300 nos. of such reports. CD-ROMs : There is a good collection of CD-ROMs, and Members can browse through from the Library and Information Centre using the system arranged for readers in the reading area. Computerisation : The Collection and Services of the Library and Information Centre are fully computerized using a software called WINLIS (Windows Based Library Information Software),Developed by DOEACC Centre, Calicut. The complete details of Books, Journal Articles, CD-ROMs, Membership details etc. have been stored in the database. The main features of this database are Search & Retrieval Facility, Manipulation of retrieved data, Transaction, Reservation Facilities etc. It is accessible through LAN from all the other Departments.
